Stopped in on a road trip to Eastern WA - just needed some breakfast and couldn't stomach the fast food options by the interstate. Very small. Clean but rustic. Betty Boop and Elvis decor. Service very hospitable but not all that fast. Limited menu, but they hit on what you'd expect - omelettes, pancakes, etc. Average food quality and portions. Good enough in a pinch, but not a do over for us.

About a week ago some friends and I escaped Seattle to go get silly in the woods. We decided to stop halfway in North Bend to get food and figured this place would do just fine. The diner is small, no frills, and seems to be run by just one hard-working lady who can provide some entertaining conversation. The food was excellent standard diner/greasy spoon fare. Loved the Denver omelette and the biscuits & gravy. Our coffee was filled frequently, and although the lady is a bit kooky she served us very well and we left happy and stuffed! Would visit again for sure.

Pancakes, bacon, omelet and coffee. All very good. The berries in the pancakes were local, fresh, and delicious. The cost of the food is reasonable. A ton of Betty Boop exhibits to look at. Our waitress was kind and attentive.

Nice people - good service - though I was the only customer. Hotcakes were pretty good - but I believe margarine and corn syrup were the used. Not bad though. Might be a bit of a gut-buster on the rest of it (omelettes /hash browns) - heavy in the stomach.

Does NOT take cards! FYI. My husband had to leave me as collateral n go to the bank come check time. Which is funny, since we sat in the parking lot looking at the info on here which told us they did take cards. Liars! LoL Food was ok, i went safety first with deep fried options in hopes hot grease would be more sanitary. Was alot like we'd stopped by someone's home to visit. Likely wont go back for food, but if I need to catch up on town gossip...

Ignore all these bad reviews and give it a try for yourself. My fiance and I eat here all the time. Deb, the owner is the sweetest lady and makes delicious food with love. Everything is very reasonably priced and cooked fresh and there's really good specials daily. She has THE BEST breakfast and she has many loyal returning customers who are there every single morning so that should tell you something. Skip the long line at Scotts for overrated and overpriced food and come here instead :)

Love this place. No out of the box that I have seen. My kids (teenagers) always want to go here. Sun breakfast or a great burger doesn't get much better. The fact that it does not take debit or credit is a relief for those that like cash.....

What a charming little find! Got caught in a rainstorm on the motorcycle and stopped in. I should emphasize the word little, it's a small but interestingly decorated space. But there was plenty of seating, maybe 8 or so tables for 4. The waitress was casual and friendly. If you are looking for obsequious service, this is probably not for you. I got a mushroom and swiss omelet, which was excellent, the right proportions so that all the ingredient flavors came out. The hashed browns were a real treat, like none I'd ever had but in a good way. And the hot coffee so good I couldn't pass up a second cup, which I'll probably be regretting around midnight. Friendly atmosphere, good food, it was the highlight of the trip.

Mediocre food. Seems to be all out of a package except the hash browns. Could use a deep cleaning.

We love the homemade Rocko burgers and the chicken fryed steak was awesome! It's a small funky place but it is worth it. A lot better than most places around here! They know how to cook!

The food is mediocre diner breakfast food. The place is DIRTY and the service was terrible. Our waitress had long, dirty fingernails and was too busy visiting with some of her friends to actually wait on us. I won't stop in here again.

I went through the drive thru, so I didn't realize they had forgotten the potato salad until I got home. The food was so so. The service was good.

Decent home cooking, they are able to handle a large crowd well, but could use an extra bathroom ;)

This charming diner has excellent corndogs for $2.50 each. The decor is fun--Betty Boop, James Dean, classic cars. There is a strange collection of items on shelves by the door that are for sale. It's like a little garage sale--Garbage Pail Kids pins, records, things from your grandma's house. There is a drive-through, but you'd miss the car bumper counter.

It's surprising this place is not more crowded. Maybe it's because it's hard to tell it's not only a drive-through (and yay for drive-through!) when you see it from the parking lot by the train depot. The specials are super cheap and everything else is very reasonably priced and good ("The best in town" according to the owner :)). The service is great and the place is clean. We were too caffeinated already to have more coffee, but they make fancy coffees (egg nog latte is the flavor of the day). If you are a Betty Boop fan, you've got to stop in. The place is also decorated wth Elvises and not one, but two red Corvettes protruding from the walls. It's the perfect place to walk to for breakfast or lunch after riding the Santa Train.

To sum up this experience: worst service I think I've ever had from anywhere, ever. I went in for lunch on July 5th at 1:30pm, and "here or go," was the only thing that could distinguish an employee from the other confused looking people inside. The server handed us two menus, but there were three of us. I looked at the menu, and eventually the waitress came over and asked what we wanted, but then couldn't even bother to answer my question about the difference between the two burgers. "It's huge." And the other? "It's medium," while walking away. She took the orders of the people I was with, walked away before taking mine, and came back minutes later asking if I had decided yet. Well, I was in the exact spot she left me since she took the menus from us before we ordered. I also ordered a Green River in the bottle since it's pretty much the only specific drink on the menu, and after I got my burger, she said "No Green River. How 'bout a root beer?" I couldn't even answer before she walked away again. No drink for me from Rock-O's. Once we were done, we had our baskets stacked up on the table for 10 minutes before she asked if we were done. I left some cash with the rest of my party, and walked next door to the gas station to get a beverage. Food was not even memorable, and possibly the worst and rudest service I've ever had anywhere. Skip it completely.

We stopped in to see what it was like, we knew it was a small place and it seemed a little dirty and run down. The waitress seemed like she was just on another planet. The food was average as expected. The Onion Ring though were really greasey. The drinks were good sized, all in all for the price was not too bad. I still think the compation acress the street is much better. Oh and the other thing, the Soft Icecream machine was not ready or not working.

Been living in North Bend for years, and have been intrigued by the guy with the homemade sign advertising burgers outside the place, but only this week did I venture in. I am glad I did. Great breakfasts and lunches, cooked by the man himself (Rocky). Amazing value. I'm leaving this morning for more.
